Self-equalization of cutting knives for up to 70% less patching
By using the COMAT-System you can say goodbye to about 70% of the previously required patching up work and reduce your setup time. All you do is replace the counter-plate by a 3-layer sandwich plate and you can use the new technology to the full. There are no additional installation costs.
The sandwich plate consists of a base support plate (mostly 3mm), special, replaceable COMAT layer (1mm) and a replaceable cutting plate (1mm).
During setup, the cutting pressure is set straight away to around 90% cutting by the knives. Only the non-cutting area (approx. 10%) now remaining require additional patching. Because of COMAT most of the un-even cuts of the knives were equalised in the height automatically. Positive as well is the recution of approx. 20% required pressure compared of the press to former technologies.
